For many years there has been an outcry from many concerned professionals in the Towing Industry to allow for an educational platform for new and existing towers. The rules were changing in every major cities everyday and the pool for drivers was becoming dangerously low. More and more companies started offering benefits that had not been offered on a grand scale before, but still the driver shortages were not improving and now have become critical. Too many companies are being forced to possibly sell trucks if they cannot place drivers in them, losing money at the same time. And many companies were being faced with incident problems with inexperienced and under-qualified drivers.
In August of 2006, many towing professionals and leaders met and discussed the possibility of a new organization with a primary and sole purpose to educate new drivers and some of the existing drivers in the industry. With a new bloodline of trained and certified drivers coming into the industry, it would be the antidote to a multitude of the industries problems that many have sought. Finally, the deaf ears stopped and a new breed of leaders in the towing industry have emerged and are focused on providing the most important tool a towing company can ever have: A Dedicated, Highly Trained, Professional Towing Operator!

We are the Towing Education Council. Our commitment to you is to provide that tool to you. We encourage all to participate and seek out these new breed of drivers in the industry, it is our future. We are a Non-Profit Organization by every sense. We make no money off of the results we work hard to provide you and only expect you to welcome in these future drivers.

Certification is here, we can assist in instructing your current drivers for these tests and also assist in the recruitment for new drivers when the courses are being taken. We have worked hard all across Texas to partner with local Community Colleges in setting up training courses for new drivers. They are already starting and others will follow rapidly. Safety, Professionalism, Pride, Courtesy, Bravery. These are the qualities you should demand in every driver you hire, we expect to train them this way, each and every time.
